Epcot is my favorite park, but there is not a bunch to do that kids would enjoy. This made it very easy for us to do 1/2 day today with them.
We started out as usual....getting our rental stroller (tip: tie something bold and colorful on the stroller so that you can find it easily.....cast members will move your stroller around....we never had any problem finding ours). Kayla and Jordan wore their 1st visit buttons today!! Notice Kayla's sandals. She could only wear them partly through the day because they hurt her feet. From this day on Jeromy wanted her and Jordan to only wear tennis shoes. (Remember to pack comfortable shoes).
We quickly walked through Innoventions West to get to The Land so that we could get fastpasses for Soarin'.
This is also a new attraction since we last visited and I knew that fastpasses would be gone early if we didn't go here first.
I was so excited to ride Mission: Space. They have 2 levels....one that spins and 1 that doesn't. I had heard that it was very extreme, but I don't usually get sick on rides so I thought that I would be fine. Aunt Fay decided to brave it with me. Michelle and Ben ended up going on the mild version of the ride and said that it was very lame. We loved it.....my eyes were watering because we were spinning so fast. Amazing ride!!
Then we hit Test Track. I had forgotten how fast it felt like you were going once you got outside.
As we were walking back we stopped at Club Cool (hosted by Coca-Cola) to sample some complimentary beverages from around the world. I knew that Beverly (from Italy) was disgusting, so I had everyone try it to see their faces. These photos turned out blurry, but you can get the effect.
Awesome sand sculpture!
After meeting the rest of the gang at The Living Seas we got to The Land with time to spare before our ride on Soarin'.
This is the ceiling in The Land
While eating some snacks at Sunshine Seasons Greg and Jackie arrived. Perfect!!! They could watch Kayla and Jordan while we rode. We got front row seats and it was great. You could smell oranges as you passed over the orange groves.
Now it was time to visit Imagination!
Journey into Imagination with Figment is a very cute ride! You get plenty of sensory overload...watch out for the skunk.
Afterwards the kids played a little....it was nice that they could jump around and get some of their energy out.
Jumping on a square would light up an instrument and also make the sound of that instrument.
This fountain actually flows up!!
Time for lunch: we had reservations in the Canada Pavilion in the World Showcase at Le Cellier at 2pm.
While waiting we took the kids to the restroom and the rest of the family had fun taking some pics with my camera.
I loved this restaurant. The food was delicious and the desserts were very cute!!!
Once again Kayla missed lunch. :)
Next up: part 2 of Epcot
