Day 2.....Magic Kingdom May 7th

We woke up to a wake-up call from Stitch (did this all 4 days). Today Magic Kingdom had early extra magic hours so we could get into the park 1 hour earlier. Arrival time: 8am.....or close to. We decided to walk to the park since it was so close.

What a beautiful morning....always started out that way but got very hot fast!!!! All 4 days we were at the parks Orlando had record breaking hot days!! The temp was around 95-100.....I was expecting high 70's to middle 80's. The park has a very cute morning show that they put on right before they open. The train comes into the station with a bunch of characters and they sing and dance. We tried very hard to make this show, but got there right at the end.

We took a few photos outside the park before venturing in to see all of the magic.

What a view....it is always a sight to see Cinderella's Castle at the end of Main St.

We found a Photopass photographer to take our picture quickly.

Michelle and I had to take a pic in front of Walt and Mickey Mouse.

Now we had to hurry to Fantasyland and ride as many rides as possible before the crowds decided to join in. What ride do you think we went to first? Why Dumbo of course!!!

Greg and Jackie waiting for us to ride Dumbo

Next up: Snow White's Scary Adventures. Now I had read that this was probably not a good ride to begin with when it comes to toddlers, but I thought that Kayla and Jordan would be alright. Let me just say that Kayla covered her eyes the entire time!!! I felt so bad.....she didn't cry though. The witch popped up way more times than I remember.

Our next ride: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Look at Kayla's face!!! She was still thinking that this ride was going to be just like the last one. Luckily by the end Jeromy got her to open her eyes and she actually enjoyed it. I rode with Jordan on this and he loved it, especially in the room where you bounce!!

Anyone up for a Mad Tea Party? This ride was definitely a hit. Before we left Kayla and Jordan talked about going on the teacups. Well, Jordan was in my cup along with my sister. He had a blast.....was spinning away like mad.....it was so fun!!

Along the way Michelle and Ben had to try to pull the Sword out of the Stone.

Now it is time for Cinderella's Golden Carrousel. Interesting story: I was going to get on the horse in front of Kayla, but I wanted to be able to take pictures of everyone while the ride was going. Little did I realize but that horse is a very special horse.....Cinderella's!! Her horse has a gold ribbon tied onto the tail. I was sad that I didn't see it right away....a little girl got on right before the ride started. To top it all off.....none of my pics turned out that great!

A new attraction that we had never seen before was Mickey's PhilharMagic. This is a very cool 3D show. We all thought that it was wonderful. It had many characters from a lot of different movies. Donald is the star!! There was a moment during the show that some jewels came out at us. Kayla and Jordan kept trying to grab them...so funny.

"It's a small world after all"

Who doesn't know this song? Am I alone in saying that it easily can get stuck in your head?
This was another favorite ride for Kayla and Jordan. Always bright and cheery.

Time for a snack? I think that we should have some Mickey Ice Cream bars. Yummmmm!!!! You can't go to Disney without having at least one of these.

Michelle and I decided to take Kayla and Jordan over to Ariel's Grotto to see Ariel. Everyone else decided to sit and rest for a little while. Unfortunately the line was a little too long for our liking, so we let the kids play a little.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of our day at Magic Kingdom
