Weekend at the Dailey's

On Friday Kayla, Jordan and I took off to visit some friends (the Dailey's and Flake's) at the Dailey's cottage near Pokagan State Park. Jeromy came a little later that evening after he got off of work. Friday night was all about relaxing and letting the kids play. I was a little nervous about the kids being so close to the lake (Lake James) especially since they had never had to have boundaries like this before (this was our first time near a lake). We kept pushing the "Do not go past this line". We ended up putting life vests on them just in case.

Saturday was a terrible weather day. Rain, rain, and more rain. We decided to pay to get into the park so that the kids could play on the playground.

They had so much fun playing on the swings!!

Jeromy even got in on the fun........

Sunday the kids stayed with some of Kristie's family so that us adults could go to a Nascar race in Michigan. I will post a separate review on that soon.

Jeromy had to go home Sunday after the race because he had to work on Monday. Later that evening we all went out in their boat and got to enjoy the scenery. The kids had never been on this kind of boat before and I had to constantly watch them because they kept wanting to stand up and walk around while we were moving. Kayla kept saying how "cold and windy" it was. Her hair was blowing everywhere. I think that the kids had a lot of fun.

In the middle of the lake is a house. It is very cool that it is surrounded by water on all sides. Makes it a little difficult to get out and get things that you need....I would assume.

Here are the little munchkins:
Jordan (2), Carson (3), Kayla (2), and Maddie (4)

On Monday we packed up a lunch and went to the beach to swim. It is always a good time when you can play in the sand. For a special treat the kids got push pops. Let's just say it was a yummy, messy time!!! There was also a little playground that they liked playing on.

I love this pic of Kayla!

Thanks Kristie and Brad for letting us stay in your cottage!!! We had a blast.
