Horse Riding at Griesey Farms Riding Academy
The multiples club that I am a part of gives us many opportunities to enjoy things that I wouldn't necessarily think of. This is one of those instances....letting Kayla and Jordan ride a horse and helping them learn some of the basics.
Cats were everywhere.....also, many kittens (just Kayla and Jordan's size).
Because not very many people showed up all of the kids got to ride a long time (around 20 minutes each).
They were shown how to steer the horse left and right
and to lean forward as the horse jumps (in this case the horse just stepped) over the barricade.
They even got to trot. Jordan thought that he was a cowboy!!!
While waiting the kids took turns holding cats and walking along the wooden fences.
Kisses for Nike (the horse) after their lessons.

Twins playdate
We seem to keep very busy.....I guess what parent isn't. Right? I love it when I can find the time to get together with other moms of multiples. This particular playdate was at a fellow twin mom's house. She opened her home up for any number of guests. The weather was beautiful and so we took advantage by letting the kids play and eat outside. What fun......observation is always the best!!!

Soccer and Ballet
Now that Kayla and Jordan have turned 3 a whole world of opportunities have opened up to them. We had been doing Kindermusik for 3 sessions and I couldn't wait to get them into trying something new. Hence the new classes that they are now enrolled in.
SOCCER!!!!
Jordan started the end of August. He was a little scared to go out on the field at first, but now loves it! He is at Off the Wall Sports in Carmel in a program called Lil Kickers. His class has 3-4 year olds in it and the class runs 50 minutes (a challenge to keep Kayla occupied during that time). During class they start out by doing some easy drills (stretching, running, running backwards, kicking the ball, etc.).
They usually play some games and also kick the ball into the net.
This video is a little blurry....so hard to get a good picture when you are looking through a net :)
Watch as Jordan runs with the soccer ball
Jordan had pictures taken with his class and by himself. Kayla wanted to also get her photo taken.
DANCE!!!!!
Kayla started the middle of September. She also was a little hesitant at first. All of the little girls look so precious in their pink attire. The best part for me is conversing with the other moms as we watch on from the window. Jordan has been wonderful and patient during Kayla's class which is 35 minutes. We found a great dance studio that is only a few minutes from our house called Dance Creations. Kayla's class has about 9 little girls from 3-4 years old. Right now they are doing ballet. They usually stretch and then after becoming butterflies
line up in 1st position.
Miss Stephanie then gives them seeds to plant and they work on pli`e's.
After picking the flowers they line up to march or chass`e across the room one at a time.
They have each had about 3-4 sessions now and what a treat it has been to see them grow already. I can't wait to see what they learn as the months go on!! I am very fortunate that I have Mondays off so that I can take my kids to classes.

Over The Top
On September 12th we ventured down to Conseco Fieldhouse to watch the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey circus. This was Kayla and Jordan's first time to the circus. They really enjoyed it a lot.....I believe that Jordan liked seeing all of the animals (especially the tigers) and Kayla loved the trapeze artists.
We got there a little early to enjoy the pre-show:
Kayla got to dress up just like the performers
Juggling!!!
Waiting for the show to begin
The Ringmaster
BOUNCE!!!!!!
VROOM!!!!
This was my favorite part.......seven motorcycles in one huge metal ball. I couldn't believe it!
Near the end of the show Kayla was playing peek a boo with the people behind us

Labor Day Weekend
Once again we made our way up to Plymouth, IN to visit with the family over the holiday weekend. We arrived on Saturday afternoon to a gorgeous day. Greg and Jackie had rented a bouncy house/slide for the entire weekend.
This is Andrew (along with Jackson) after his mishap with the bouncy house. He ended up hurting his ankle (also visiting the doctor) and needless to say he wasn't the only victim of the inflatable monster. Many rug burn type injuries were felt by many!!
Other fun things to keep the kids occupied:
Playing dressup with Kayla's necklaces, bracelets, and huge fake diamond ring (as shown on Jordan's finger)
tractor rides
climbing up the slide
playing basketball
riding bikes
playing with the mysterious cat that showed up out of nowhere
Playing the organ that has now found a home at our house
We always try to make it to the Blueberry Festival at least once to shop and to see the fireworks spectacular on Sunday night. This year the girls went without kids and walked the entire thing (not nearly as many cool things to buy as in years past.....but, I still spent money). Later that evening we braved the crowds to watch the fireworks. Everyone had a great time!!!
Cute kid alert:
