We take on Magic Kingdom and Epcot minus kiddos

Greg and Jackie had agreed to take Kayla and Jordan for us this evening so that we could spend some adult time at Epcot. Epcot had extra Magic hours and would be staying open until midnight. Before we left a bunch of us rested, some went to the arcade, and a few of us went shopping in the stores in our resort.

Dad decided that he wanted to spend some time in the Magic Kingdom and we thought that we would go on a few rides that we missed before the park closed and then make our way over to Epcot.

Magic Kingdom:

1st up was the Haunted Mansion. We had not been able to ride this attraction in some time because it had either been down or was being renovated. I love the new touches on this ride. I still jumped when the ghosts came at you in the graveyard! (Jeromy did too)

We then went on Splash Mountain. I absolutely love the music, the characters, everything about this ride! Jeromy got soaked.....who knew?

Because of Jeromy's back he had to wait out Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The rest of us had a blast riding in the dark. We had some special pixie dust come our way while as we were riding the fireworks started. Amazing!!!!!

We continued walking to the front of the park enjoying the fireworks spectacular. Look at how cool!!

We unfortunately didn't miss the crowds, though. We got stuck walking amongst everyone and their brother to get out of the park. Here is where Dad left us....he had walked through World Showcase earlier in the day so he wanted to get back to the resort.

We hopped on the monorail and got to Epcot quickly.

We were starving so we decided to get a quick bite to eat at the Electric Umbrella. Since the weather was so nice we ate outside. There really wasn't a lot of people at the park at this time of night. We felt as if we were by ourselves most of the evening. The only thing that bummed us out about going this late was that a lot of the shops and counter service places were closed.

On to World Showcase:

Mexico

We rode Gran Fiesta tour Starring the Three Caballeros. Kayla and Jordan would have loved this ride. I just wanted to check it out since it had been changed since we last visited. It was o.k. Probably nice to get out of the heat.

Norway:

The attraction here is called Maelstrom. I thought that this ride was longer. It didn't really impress me this time. There is a movie at the end of this ride, but most people skip it as did we.
We can never leave without taking pictures with this guy!
