My visit with Joe
I got the chance to leave for a few days without the rest of my family so that I could spend some time with my new nephew. I was at the hospital when he was born, but this was the first time that I had seen him since then. He is such a good baby....no problems at all. Maybe it is just me.....I did take care of two at one time, but it is soooooo easy with one child. I drove to St. Louis on Thursday morning and we went shopping that afternoon. We both had a lot of clothes shopping to do for our Disney trip. While my sister was trying on clothes I fed Joe in the dressing room (that is something I never did with Kayla and Jordan).
That evening we went to a mutual friends' new house and out to dinner. My best friend from high school lives right down the road from Heather so I was hoping to see her. Unfortunately she wasn't there, but I did get to take a really cute pic of her daughters Ashlyn and Averie.
On Friday my dad, sister, Joe and I went to the St. Louis Zoo. I love this zoo....it helps that it is free, unlike ours here. It was warm, but we had a great time anyway.

VeggieTales sing-a-long
Kayla and Jordan have now become obsessed with Veggie Tales. They are always singing the theme song and wanting us to sing with them. Here is a quick video showing you how excited they get when a fun song comes on during one of their videos.

Race for the Cure
Saturday we headed downtown to walk in the annual Race for the Cure. This is our 2nd year participating with the kids. Last year we signed up but didn't end up walking.....the weather was very rainy. My mother had breast cancer and beat it...I know many other moms of my friends who are also survivors. This organization has always held an important spot in my heart and will continue to do so. Kroger (my employer) is a corporate sponsor and this is one of their biggest days of the year.
We brought the wagon to pull the kids in....as you can see in the pics below. It ended up working really well. I actually pulled them most of the way. Look at how many people showed up to walk!!!
On our walk we went by the new Colts stadium and the Indianapolis Zoo. The elephants are always out to greet us.
We walked with my friend Angela and her parents. Her mother is a survivor and they have been taking part in this walk a long time.
The kids enjoyed riding on shoulders!!! It looks like Kayla is trying to poke Jeromy's eyes out. :)
Some Ghostbusters even walked.
By the end of the walk Jordan had crashed......on a positive note the kids went the entire race without needing to go to the restroom and NO accidents!!!!
This was a pre-warmup before the race
Look at the crowd!!!!

Dyeing eggs and Easter egg hunts
We had our annual Easter egg hunts this year at our church and also at Jessica and Andrew's. This year Kayla and Jordan had it all figured out on what to do. The weather was a little nicer than last year...but, it was windy. We usually dye eggs before Easter, but not this year. We had the kids dye some eggs on Sunday afternoon.

Happy Easter from our family to yours
As per Richardson Easter tradition....we went to our church then hopped in the van to visit with the rest of the Richardson clan at Jessica and Andrew's house. This year it was a shorter trip for us since the Bowen's moved to Lebanon. It is always nice to see everyone since we all live in different areas.
