Jessica's Baby Shower

My sister-in-law is due with her second child (a boy) the middle of April. She already has a little girl, but her church thought that she might want a shower to get some boy things. At the last minute I got to go (minus Kayla because she was sick). Jessica and Andrew got a lot of nice things!!

Welcome Joseph Anthony Manzella

Our new nephew (our first) was born today at 2:41am in St. Louis at St. John's Mercy Hospital.

I was lucky to have been able to make the delivery. I left around 6pm on Wednesday and arrived at the hospital at 10pm. Michelle (my sister) did great. When I arrived she had already received the epidural but was still in a lot of pain. They finally increased her medication and after that she was feeling wonderful. We all (my dad, her mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and her friend Heather) went into the waiting area and waited and waited......it was a long evening. Finally Ben came out and told us that we could come into the room. He was 8lbs 4oz and 19 1/2 in long. He is such a cute and healthy baby!!!





I finally left the hospital around 3:30am and went to my sister's to sleep for a few hours. I did go back to the hospital for a couple of hours before driving home. I wish that I could have stayed longer but I have a 13 hour work day on Friday.

A visit with Carrie and outside fun

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

We went and visited a good friend of mine who lives in Laporte, IN a little while ago. I thought that I would post a couple of pics. She is pregnant and due the middle of May. They are waiting to find out the sex of the baby and this will be her first child. We are very excited for her. It was nice catching up.....we don't get to visit as much as we would like to.


The weather was gorgeous outside today. I took the opportunity to have a picnic outside and we played in the backyard for a little while.





Today I also took a tour of a preschool that we are interested in. It went really well and it looks as if they have openings for the fall after the kids have turned 3. This preschool is only a few minutes from our house and will be a lot cheaper!!

Singing with Grandma

I caught some great video the other night. Grandma Richardson playing the piano and singing along with Kayla and Jordan. I think that we might have some musicians and singers on our hands.

Jordan's hair do

We have never styled Jordan's hair before. In fact, I am not sure that I know how to do it. The last time I got his hair cut I asked the hairdresser if there was any way that I could style it and she really didn't give me any ideas besides the way that I have been combing it. Well, he does have very thin hair.

On Saturday night before we went out to dinner I asked Andrew if he would style Jordan's hair. Here is Uncle Andrew fixing Jordan's hair:

Grandpa's 60th Birthday

Grandpa Richardson turned 60 this year, so we went to Plymouth for the weekend to celebrate with the family.

Kayla and Jordan each made a frame for Grandpa. You can sort of see Kayla's in the second picture.

All of the boys gave a fishing weekend getaway to their dad/father-in-law.
