"Super" Jordan and "Princess" Kayla

The kids had fun dressing up the other day. I got out all of their dress-up things and let them decide on what they wanted to wear. It was quite a show!!!!

American Idol here we come!!!!!

Kayla and Jordan love to sing. I have sang to them their entire life and it also helps that they are in a music class. Kayla has been singing her abc's since before she was 2. Jordan just started reciting them for us. Some of their other favorite songs are: Old Macdonald, Jesus loves me, Barney's song, Baa Baa Black Sheep, The itsy Bitsy Spider, Ring a Round the Rosy, Head-Shoulders-Knees-and Toes, If you're Happy and you know it.

Kayla got this Ariel necklace for her birthday. I caught her singing with Ariel while she was sitting on the potty. Jordan is playing his instrument in the background (he got it from Kindermusik class).

Milk and Cookies

Today was our first day of Kindermusik class. The theme for this session is Milk and Cookies. They had a good time during class last session so we are hoping that this time they will enjoy it even more. Today we learned some songs about using a hammer and saw, washing machines, and dusting. We started listening to our cds so that the kids can begin to recognize the songs for future classes.
As an added bonus to today's blog since our theme for the day seemed to be cleaning.....I have added a video of Kayla singing the clean up song (Barney's version) in our messy living room from the other night.

Head over Heels

Jordan figured out how to do a summersault all by himself. After that both Kayla and his cousin Vada wanted to figure it out too.

"WoW" Fireworks!!!!!!!!!

Sunday night we braved the crowds and went to the Blueberry Festival with my mother-in-law to see the fireworks. Kayla and Jordan had seen fireworks over the 4th of July but weren't very interested in them. This time that had a lot of fun and really seemed to enjoy watching them as you will see from the video.

This video is quite long......it was very dark (obviously), so I couldn't get the kids faces. About 1:30 into the video they both started yelling "Whoa". It was funny...hope you enjoy!!!!

Blueberry Stomp

On Monday we got up early to watch Katie and Jason run in the Blueberry Stomp. For the past few years we have made it a tradition to trek up to Plymouth over Labor Day weekend to visit with the Richardson's. Aunt Jessica made shirts for all of the kids so that they could root for their Aunt and Uncle.

All of the shirts had the same theme.......Jason was the sloooooowwww runner between the two. With no training I think they both ran with an awesome time!! I would definitely have not been able to do it.

After the race we decided to watch a little of the parade. Kayla and Jordan had fun marching along with the band!!
